Insight Beyond Noise

Hi, I'm One (pronounced 'oh-neh'). Yes, that's my actual name—no, I'm not related to the number, and yes, I've heard all the jokes. I'm a data scientist who grew up between Botswana, Japan, and everywhere in between, which means I'm equally comfortable explaining Bayesian inference and debating which continent has the best street food. I turn messy datasets into stories that matter, run ridiculous distances for fun, and firmly believe the best insights live where nobody thought to look.

About Me.

I see the world through two lenses: the precision of statistical models and the texture of human experience. My work bridges continents and disciplines, turning messy reality into mathematical clarity while never forgetting the people behind the numbers.

I'm a Data Science student at Lake Forest College, where I balance research, tutoring, and a slightly chaotic schedule as a student-athlete. I've analyzed biodiversity risk for Fortune 500 companies, co-authored research on energy markets, and spent countless hours implementing Bayesian models for my senior thesis on financial risk in Sub-Saharan Africa. Currently, I'm a Data Science Intern at BundlAR, building dashboards and testing product features.

When I'm not buried in R code, you'll find me on the track, spinning records as Hip-Hop & World Music Director at our college radio station, or mentoring students through tricky stats problems. I speak three languages (English, French, and Setswana), grew up across multiple continents, and genuinely believe the most interesting insights live at the margins—in the data and in life.

I'm headed to grad school next, aiming to take these skills into spaces where data science drives real policy and impact.
